How was your experience Cycling in Segovia´s Mountians and Canyons? Tell us about it below...
We had a fantastic holiday, and it exceeded our expectations. It was probably a bit harder than we had thought, but nothing that was too hard. All of the hotels we stayed in were lovely and the routes were great. It was a pleasure to cycle in Spain with so little traffic, and the drivers were much more considerate than those in England.
Some of the sights really did take you breath away, that’s if you had any left after going up the hills! The instructions were great, we didn’t get lost once, and the instructions on when to take a picnic were just right.
We did feel that we would have like more time in Segovia and perhaps it would have been nice to spend a night there rather than the two nights in Valsain. The only issue we had was getting something to eat in Valsain, having taken notice of your comments about the Spanish eating late on the Sunday we arrived in Valsain we went out about 7.30 for a drink before looking for something to eat, but the restaurant with the hotel was just shutting, we did wonder round town, but the only place that was open was the Tapas bar, and that shut just after we had eaten, and then on the Monday again the Tapas bar was the only place that was open in the evening.
This in no way spoiled our holiday, and we may well look at another route for next year.
